Editorial Policy

This page explains how Mobius & Loud reports, sources, fact-checks, and discloses. We hold ourselves to it. If you ever feel we've fallen short, write to [[email protected]] and tell us where.

Independence

Mobius & Loud Media, LLC is independently owned. Editorial decisions are made by our editors and writers — not by advertisers, sponsors, business partners, or affiliate networks. No outside party reviews, approves, or has influence over the content we publish before it goes live.

How we source

Every story we publish is original work by our editorial team or by freelancers we commission. We do not republish wire copy as our own. We do not rewrite competitor articles. When we reference reporting from another outlet, we credit and link to them clearly.Where possible, we ground stories in primary sources — public filings, official statements, on-the-record interviews, our own research and analysis. When we cite secondary reporting, we link directly to it.

Fact-checking

Every article is reviewed before publication. Numbers, dates, quotes, names, and any claim that could be checked against a public record are verified. For complex pieces (financial breakdowns, valuations, historical claims), at least one editor independent of the writer signs off before publication.We don't always get it right. When we don't, we correct it openly — see our Corrections Policy.

Anonymous sources

We grant anonymity sparingly, and only when (a) the source has direct knowledge of what they're describing, (b) the information serves the public interest, and (c) the source would face real consequences for being named. When we use anonymous sourcing, we tell you why in the article.

Distinction between news and opinion

We publish reported features, news analysis, and opinion. Opinion pieces are labeled as such — typically in the headline, byline, or kicker. Our reported stories aim for fairness and accuracy. Our opinion pieces are clearly the author's view.

AI disclosure

We use AI tools internally — for research and transcription — the way most modern newsrooms do. We do not publish wholesale AI-generated articles as journalism. Every piece on the site is written, edited, and signed off by a human member of our team. If we ever publish a piece that includes substantial AI-generated text (e.g., an experiment, a creative collaboration), we'll label it clearly at the top of the article.

Affiliate links and commerce

Some of our articles include affiliate links — meaning if you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. These links never influence which products or services we cover or recommend. We disclose affiliate relationships in or near the article where they appear, and at the foot of the site.We also sell our own books, music, and merchandise through Möbius & Loud Media. When we write about our own products, we say so clearly — usually in the headline or first paragraph.

Sponsored content

If we ever publish sponsored content (we currently do not), it will be visually and textually labeled as such — every time, no exceptions. Sponsored content will never be written or edited by our news team.

Conflicts of interest

Our writers and editors disclose financial, personal, or professional relationships that could appear to influence their reporting. We don't cover companies our team members own equity in (beyond a token public-market position) without disclosing it. We don't accept gifts, trips, or hospitality from sources we're actively reporting on.
